{"id":24,"date":"2023-03-18T14:43:07","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T14:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/naailtest.co.uk\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2024-10-24T12:45:11","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T12:45:11","slug":"course-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordeyecourse.com\/?page_id=24","title":{"rendered":"Course Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignfull is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"padding-top:1em;padding-right:1em;padding-bottom:1em;padding-left:1em\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignfull has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:700px\">\n<p><em>As part of the course, all candidates will be taken station-by-station through a past FRCOphth<\/em> <em>Part 2 Oral examination, describing actual stations (patients and scenarios), written examiner<\/em> <em>feedback, and the marking criteria for each station.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This will help candidates to understand<\/em> <em>what examiners are looking for in the OSCE and Viva.<\/em> <em>We explain key strategies to score highly in the communication skills station.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The course features numerous clinical videos to give candidates practice at identifying clinical<\/em> <em>signs with questions about investigation and management, simulating the new hybrid OSCE<\/em> <em>format.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Each presentation is highly interactive and inclusive, simulating the exam with quizzes prior to each clinical presentation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The course ends with a group session on data interpretation (relevant to Viva stations: \u201cData<\/em> <em>Interpretation\u201d and \u201cPatient Management 1&amp;2\u201d) with individual feedback\/coaching on<\/em> <em>response strategy and language with more than 50 worked examples and in a supportive<\/em> group <em>environment.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The course integrates some of the most important landmark clinical trials in ophthalmology<\/em> <em>that candidates should be familiar with for the FRCOphth Part 2 examination.
